Lux is one of those horses that makes you smile the second you lope off—and then keeps impressing you the longer you ride him. Bred by Pale Face Dunnit and out of Get Ya Some Stars, he comes by his talent honestly, but it’s his presence, consistency, and mind that really separate him. He’s the kind that walks into the pen like he belongs there… because he does.

Let’s be honest—he’s stunning. A true golden palomino with a bright white mane and tail, a bold bald face, clean white socks, and two blue eyes that turn heads everywhere he goes. But he’s far more than just good looks. Lux is a huge mover with beautiful rhythm and reach, naturally level, and very correct. He lopes around with a great leg, extends easily, and stays in the same frame and tempo no matter what’s going on around him. He’s soft in the bridle, smooth, and incredibly fun to ride—no matter the setting.

In the reining pen, Lux has already proven himself with $6,613.39 in NRHA earnings, suitable for Non Pro, Rookie, and lower-level Open riders. Where he truly surprised everyone, though, was stepping into the ranch arena for the first time. At his very first Ranch show last fall, he went out and won a championship in Ranch Versatility, Ranch Riding, and Ranch Pleasure in a massive, highly competitive class of over 50 head. He didn’t flinch, didn’t change, and honestly acted like he’d been doing it forever. He’s eligible for the APHA / IRHA Triple Crown Incentives, and we fully believe he’s a horse that can win a lot of money for someone in the Ranch and Reining events.

Lux is bombproof, confident, and steady. He has a big set of spins, a strong, correct stop, effortless lead changes, and he stays the same horse every single ride. Outside the arena, he’s just as solid—great on the trail, crosses water, drags logs, and is safe and enjoyable for just about anyone. His ground manners are excellent, and he’s easy to have around in every way.
