Hip 52 - Punchy

2011 | Black Tobiano| Gelding

Friesian/Gypsy Cross

Punchy is one of the coolest geldings I've had the privilege to own. His resume is miles long from a pick-up horse, to ranch work, roping in the field and out of the box, and giving carriage rides for public events and parades. This friesian/gypsy cross is sure to get you noticed with his long thick mane and tail. He stands 15.2 hands and weighs close to 1500lbs; he as wide as he is tall! This sweet 11 year old gelding has only had 2 owners his entire life and spent most of his life in South Dakota giving rides to tourists and hunting guests. He can pack saddle bags all day and carry elk down from the mountain after hunting endeavors. He is safe for youth and beginners. This is one of the coolest geldings to ride out in the woods. He's the closest thing you will get to riding a mountain goat; sure footed and safe, no log is to big, no ditch is to steep, and no river to deep. He can easily maneuver his way through the roughest terrain. Punchy has encountered all kinds of wildlife without twitching an ear out of place(ground bees, bears, elk, deer, turkey, bobcats, and potbelly pigs). Punchy is the same horse whether he's rode once a week, once a month, or once a year. If you are a first time rider looking for your first horse to hit the woods on or to do ranch work on Punchy is your guy.

With just a snap of a finger Punchy will side pass to a log, gate, picnic table, or rock for mounting and dismounting. He also stands great for mounting from the ground. Easy to load in and out of the trailer and hauls great. Punchy is shod all the way around and UTD on dental and vaccinations. He also gets along with others in the field. He sells 100% sound
